Short-term courses
The specialisation Small and medium enterprise manufacturing and management forms specialists for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for the domains: mechanical, textile, timber, plastics and steel industry. Their education is manifold, from business, to management and marketing in small and medium companies so as they could find a job in a large range of companies of the type mentioned above as such companies do not afford to employ people with a very narrow specialisation
The technical and business knowledge allow undergraduates to find jobs in SMEs or to set up their own businesses as self-employed with managerial abilities needed to reach the aimed at performance.
Specialisations:
The course structure: Studies for short term courses have a length of 6 semesters or 3 academic years, out of which the first five semesters are dedicated to general technical education in the form of lectures, seminars, workshops, lab classes and the last semester is dedicated to practical field training, work for the graduation thesis and examination. All the courses end with exams (oral, written or practical tests).
Graduation : The course ends with a graduation exam that consists in the evaluation of the fundamental and specialised knowledge learnt by the students and in their defending the graduation paper.
Continuation of studies : The graduates of short-term courses can go on with their studies in the long-term course, according to the specifications presented in the professional norms of the students in the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
