Post-graduate and M. Sc. courses

Postgraduate courses were introduced in the academic year 1995/96.

The Faculty offers two semester post graduate courses in the specialities listed below, on condition that the graduates posses the diploma engineer degree:

  • Special new materials
  • Special methods for materials processing
  • Special methods for machine and equipment manufacturing

All the course participants have to defend their thesis at the end of the course.

Special new materials

The specialisation is coordinated by the department of Materials Science and technology. It is aimed at developing the knowledge of the graduates of materials engineering (long term course) in so far advanced materials used in very modern technologies is concerned. Special emphasis is laid on powder metallurgy as the type of technology with a very high potential in this domain. Experienced academic staff, in up-to-date laboratories, provides the training. The course participants are included in contract-based research side by side with the academic staff. The most hard-working students are included in international contracts, programmes or exchanges with prestigious universities from abroad, from France, Germany etc. They can also fulfil their education by enrolling later on in Ph.D. courses.
