Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, one of Romania’s most prestigious higher education institutions, recognised for its academic excellence, technological innovation and commitment to internationalisation, organises the Summer Courses “Romanian Language, Literature, History and Civilisation”. The program offers participants the opportunity to study the Romanian language, literature, history and culture in a stimulating, modern and welcoming academic environment, enhancing their linguistic competences together with their cultural and professional knowledge.

The intensive Romanian language courses are structured according to levels of proficiency and place great emphasis on practical communication, authentic conversation and the development of all language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The proposed activities employ interactive and innovative methods, such as project-based learning, conversation workshops, debates and case studies, in order to ensure immediate progress and the practice of language in real-life contexts.

The program also includes thematic activities in Romanian literature, history and civilisation, enabling participants to understand Romania’s cultural and social progress, as well as to explore its literature and regional traditions in greater depth. The teaching staff are university lecturers with extensive experience in the field, recognised for their academic rigour and modern teaching methods, thereby supporting a high-quality educational process.

A key feature of the summer school is the cultural and social program, which provides direct contact with Romania’s heritage and cultural life. Participants will visit museums, cultural centres, historical monuments and tourist attractions in Cluj-Napoca and Transylvania; they will take part in workshops on Romanian traditions and crafts, and interact with local students and academics, thus strengthening their intercultural and social experience.

The summer program is designed to offer a comprehensive academic experience, combining intensive courses in Romanian language and literature with practical workshops, cultural visits and social activities. Participants who complete the course will receive an official certificate of attendance issued by the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca.
